This is actually a crop of a much larger frame. I was attracted to the kind of neon colors and lines going all sorts of directions.
I didn’t want to put the focus on the “Happy Birthday” balloons because that’s what your average snap-shot would look like. I liked how the ‘blank space’ in the middle helped make the colors pop and aren’t distracting.
In the end, it really came down to my experimenting with different crops and getting to one that I thought looked neat.
